Our activities

Our farmhouse consistes of different agricultural cultivation of 10.000 meters. Our activities include the care of vegetables, greenhouses, olive trees, fruit trees and farm animals.

VEGETABLES

We pick from the the vegetable garden a wide variety of fresh products depending on the season, such as fennels, pumpinks, onions, cauliflowers, lettuce, different vegetables, celery and herbs such as laurel, red pepper, basil, sage, rosemary, Florence fennel and chives. We have also 4.000 meters of greenhouses where we harvest peppers, zucchini, eggplants,, tomatoes, potatoes and parsley.

FRUIT TREES

The orchard is an important part of our activities. We have several trees: pomegranates, avocados, figs, prickly pears, pears annone, bananas, carobs, grapes and citrus fruits such as lemons, oranges, tangerines and other typical Sicilian varieties of fruit such as tangelos, oriental hackberry, nzalori, noli. We take care also of a peach orchard from which we pick apricots and peaches.

The big centenary olive trees, that are typical plantations of the Mediterranean Southern Italy are variously distributed and marked the garden in an evocative way.

FARMYARD

The typical henhouse where animals are happy to romp freely always guarantees fresh eggs. We have cocks, hens, chickens, Tito, Sicilian buttercup chickens, peacocks, guinea fowls, ducks and geeses. In fine weather children can have fun stroking and photographing them if they decide to be at their disposal for some pictures!
